Well, the wrangler has the new pentastar V6 in it now. My parents have the same engine in their grand Cherokee, and it's been pretty solid. Things like tie rod ends, however, I wouldn't be so sure on. The Nissan appears to be rock solid.

Cue Rebecca Black...

Just kidding.

Slept well last night... must have been the salmon that caused the coma.

Coffee is on and the ladies should be up soon... better start the bacon.

I had to goggle that. Didn't realize Jeep previously sold a Gladiator. Looks even nicer than the old Commanche, which I also liked.

Hey Ford, Chevy, et al....this is how to make a good looking truck!

I had a '71. Kaiser markings on the door plate, AMC on the outside. And an AMC 268 straight six.

I added roll bar, white wagon wheels, roll bar, warn halogens and the biggest radial tires money could buy (12.5x33 IIRC)

I do not understand how people can defeat the auto flush toilets at work. I walk in the stall and there's a giant poop in the bowl that someone had not even made an attempt to flush. But the worst part was that there wasn't any toilet paper in the bowl, either.

But for that crazy, ill-conceived bidet,
I'd say using a loo is serious business.
Darn it, think of a sudden April shower
Encroaching upon your pretty posterior,
Tickling it, the nearest thing to heaven!

Giving credit were credit is doo-doo

Worked a grand total of 90 minutes today to get my HBDI test results. Apparently I'm blue-green with a slight shift towards red under pressure. Can't say I'm surprised.

Since I'm off, I'm listening to 90's metal and getting ready for my last volume squat session this afternoon. Competing in 3 weeks but I'm just going to train right through it, it's too late to peak properly.

About a year ago we got a new chancellor of IT. The university and hospital IT were merged into one and elsewhere in the hospital many people were loosing their jobs.

At the new chancellors previous company, his m.o. was essentially layoff and outsource so naturally the first question on everyone's mind is who is getting the ax?

He said over and over again, 'this is a different place with different needs. We are not doing that here.'

LIAR! LIAR! LIAR! Pants on FIRE!

I came back from a week off to find out - on the bus - that I am being outsourced. Mr. Liar has been in talks with a company since December to outsource - ALL - of us.

I believe I will bounce back and be fine but the transition and possible loss of pay is really going to hurt. I have a spouse, three kids, mortgage, etc., I despise any man who looks me in the eye and lies. As I wrap up my Philosophy class, I feel that I must grudgingly concede Marx made some relevant points.

So now I am working on my resume rather than doing my work, and ranting on BF.

I'm sorry. As another university button-pusher, these things worry me. We have an opening in our group... I'm not sure if the boss has re-opened it though.

We went through the outsourcing question in 2011 and 12. I was the one that wrote the RFP. It was dismissed by our city council but it was very stressful for the employees. I kept everyone in the loop which kept morale up as much as possible.

Did you have someone check the batteries? Probably AAs.

We got a few inches tonight. It'll be melted before the weekend. Time to install the fenders on the Salsa.

It was working just fine later in the afternoon. The reason they installed the auto flush toilets was because people weren't flushing in the first place. I think there's a weirdo here who just doesn't like to flush.

You know, there are some people who spend a long time in the stall with their camera phone.

Did you have to look up the address on your phone?
