Just received this little fella a minute ago:

And I have to say, it has a very nice feel to it. Nice build quality. But to be honest, it still feels like a toy when I compare the two:

Day 3 of the plague... fever seems to have come down and I can breathe.

All due to the miracke of modern pharmacology and when Buckley's tastes good... you know you are sick.

Should be cleared up before I stop counting sleeps... which now number 5.

I honestly don't know much about Minolta. My only experience with that brand is an old Autocord from the 50s that I have.

Is that the X10? Sure looks nice, especially for something modern.

Of course, nothing will compare in feel to a nice 70s/80s UJSLR (or in the Canonet's case, UJRF).

That's it. It has a nice feel to it, it's just not as heavy as I expected. The Canonet feels almost twice as heavy. I'm hoping I'll get to try it out more thoroughly today.

It's all about the possibilities... That jig plate and tool box are pretty serious.

Besides, who can resist a brazed (steel?) frame.

Turns out they went under in '03.

Maybe if you add 1.1% chromium, .25% molybdenum, .33% carbon, .6%, .035 phosphorus and .04% of sulfur, then I might be into it a small bit...

Now what to do for 20 minutes...

Busy day ahead of me... cleaning, packing, doctor's appointment. much hugging of small girls, and then I am off to the airport late tonight as I have a very early flight tomorrow.

There are no more sleeps to count... just the hours and minutes until I see the most beautiful woman in the world and wrap my arms around her.

I think one big assed cat will be pretty happy when she sees that I have come home too.

This is what I can expect every morning for the next month...
