I'm just going for a general horticulture degree, with a focus on greenhouse crops/management.

Pretty much everyone I tell about my major asks if I'm doing it to get into the marijuana business... The answer is no, but if it happens to go that way, I'm fine with that.

the guys in the OH department at Poly ran a nice flower shop. Too bad I had no one to buy flowers for at the time.

Listening to bossa nova waiting for a client to show up and looking out the window to where it's 75 with low humidity and wishing I were outside on bike.

Rode down to the lake at lunch. Stopped on the boat ramp for pics, then at a pizza place on the way back, and then stopped to help a young lady on her first tour to decipher her Google Maps instructions for getting through Carrboro and Chapel Hill. Got back and found someone camping out in the shower room... so I am working in stinky bike clothes all afternoon. Grr!

Doesn't matter... got to ride 30km at lunch, ate pizza, and helped someone out.

So I said this and headed for home already all stinky, and there was a surprise rainstorm yesterday that just so happened to roll through on my way home from work. So I got home sopping wet instead.

I'm in a pretty rough place mentally for some reason at the moment. No reason for it, but I have to deal with it. I have no idea how, but I'll figure it out.

I am so burnt out after this week. Got bit on the hand by a dog, was an idiot and didn't go immediately to the hospital, and pained my way through work all weekend on three courses of antibiotics with severe side effects. Even the drug they give chemo patients for nausea hardly helped. No rest in sight since my seasonal workers are all leaving this week. I'm actually kind of hoping i'll need surgery to repair the nerve damage so I can get a few days off.

Rode a metric in the rain yesterday.

Got called into a critical ticket while at Lowe's this afternoon... so I am working on a production cluster issue instead of painting the new pantry. :/

This morning I watched a guy on a beach cruiser stop on the railroad tracks to light a cigarette. The only thing that could have made it better was if he'd played some Russian Roulette.

9 to midnight application cluster outage. Finished with the hard work by 10:30, just waiting for the developers to tell me their stuff still works.

Bleurgh.

Researching online for replacement hinges to go on my fridge and freezer.

Sooooo many options that are *almost* exactly the same.

Stopped by the bike shop, bought some tubes then walked across the street to the gas station to buy a couple Monsters. I put the tubes on the counter while I got out the money and the clerk pointed to them and asked if I was going deer hunting.

This is your brain on drugs; when bike tubes look like ammo boxes.

It continued the next day. I stopped at Subway and the woman asked me if I was riding my bike. I almost asked her how many of her customers wore helmets and jerseys but let it go.
