Yes DNS site name and the website are different things. You do not need to have a DNS, but your website address will be something like \\http:www.hostgator.com\~Lamplight. Not a very professional look. Also if your venture takes off, scumbags may register your name ask a ransom if you want to then register it.

I think I paid yearly for the DNS and actually pay semi-annually for the site. DNS is almost always a yearly fee.

Ah, that's what I figured. After I made that first post I registered the name using GoDaddy, if nothing else just so I would have the name I wanted.

Watching my date play Dance central.

As goofy as my 15 y/o son thinks the Kinect was...I am enjoying the benefits.

Came home after yet another ridiculously long day at work. Waited for some rooibos to steep as the cat licked my hands off. Feel much better now

No joke: Saw that you had responded and I thought -- before I saw your post -- "he must be wondering how I'm typing without hands." I fear the long-term effects of a jsharr mind meld.

And to answer your question: I'm dictating to the cat, of course.

Just ate lunch, debating going in search of more food. Also wondering about Java keystores because the boss can't figure it out. Beats working on FileMaker.

... if only MP could send me some Wheat Thins.

Think of a Java keystore as a password-protected filesystem of key files and certificate files. A truststore is the same thing, but should only contain imported public keys.

Yeah, I get that part, but the middleware integration guys didn't provide us with a CA cert and I don't know enough Java to test this once I set it up... and the boss is out today. Guess I create it without a CA cert and wait for tomorrow. Then go to the student union and find some more food.

A very cheerful lady on the bus had bought a cheesecake for herself. Each of the slices where in their own cardboard dividers, and she was offering slices to everyone on the bus. She got off the bus a couple of stops before me. When I got off the bus, one lady who accepted a slice was looking at it and looked like she couldn't stop smiling. I love this town!

Be careful... she might have been a Canadian. They look just like everyone else.

Congrats Jsharr!

So. I have knee trouble and I think I aggravated it. However, I have a Judo tournament coming up in 3 weeks that I don't want to miss. I'm in line to do really well, throwing everyone in training, etc, and I don't want to stop training. I've been using my knee brace and copious amounts of painkillers and athletic tape. Am I hardcore or just stupid?

Debating whether I should change my flight. I found out the day I come back I still have a class to attend but he said we might be done a week early. After talking to him he said it is mandatory I be there because we have presentations for a project that are worth a lot and I cant go a day ahead. Basically to sum it up he said I paid to be there all the scheduled days so I need to not make arrangements that could stop that. Have about 3 weeks, not sure if I go to an earlier flight now, or wait till the time gets closer. Gahh!!
