Trying to figure out why there was a student sleeping in the hallway while waiting for an appointment with a lecturer. Her dorm room can't be more than a couple hundred yards away.

Maybe she's trying to check you out.

Nope, she was facing away from my cube and one row down, transversely
across the aisle, right in front of one of our developers' cubes (but
they wouldn't have seen each other because of the wall). She would have
had a great view of the server room door from there. Besides, I ain't
worth checking out.

Maybe turn the windshield washer nozzles around and rig them to spray sodium hydroxide or hydrochloric acid...

One of the things that sucks about being single, you are the one your dumb assed friends call when they get picked up for DUI.
Sadly for them, I'm not putting up a bond.

It's not limited to being single, Allen. It's because they think you have the bucks to bail 'em out. Ask me how I know this? Experience! I've gotten more than one 3 or 4 AM call from a slurring voice asking me to bail them out of jail.

Drawing an actual comic that's a fairly long story. Thing is, I'm an idiot and decided to draw a dock scene. A modern dock scene, with a cargo ship, and containers, and rows of cranes, and a million other tiny, precise details.

I'll deidiotize ya.....

Step back and draw the larger picture, and get the gestalt, rather than focusing on the details. Most people will only see that gestalt anyway, regardless of how detailed you go. A comic is impressionist by nature, and if a black and white, noncolor ink, a stark impressionism at that. It allows the reader to fill in the details with their own imagination.

Man, the wifi from rogers at YYZ Pearson sucks. I can't even stream air crash investigations off of discovery.

Gotta love those guys who try to sell you something and then try to sneak a pick up line. It made my afternoon I suppose, just how cheesy the whole thing was.

Yeah I try to focus on major shapes first, then gradually add finer details until it's done. But I'm bad about drawing a shape, then without thinking jumping right into the details of that particular part of the drawing. It's weird, if I'm drawing people I don't do this, but anything mechanical and I just go haywire on the detail without thinking.

Edit: Here's what I have so far, and you can see just to what extent I jump into details before I've finished larger items.

I tend yto do the same thing with music.....

I wind up with a beautifully structured piece with 1,300,000 note and chord sequences and 3 listeners when I need the Country approach of 3 chords, 5 notes, and 1,300,000 listeners.

Looking forward to a sleep in.

I was going to go cycling tomorrow morning, but I managed to break something on the bike while replacing a part that looked cracked - and it wasn't the cracked looking part (related but shouldn't have been affected). Arrrrgh.

At least you can get spares easily for this.
