Spent the morning playing with the new kids flew some laps, did some exploring and then snacked on apple slices with me being the fly in perch.

They are beautiful birds... and one can see how much time has been spent with them to make them so friendly and sociable.

Lucce and Amore... Indian Ringnecks.

Sitting with my wife and sister in law at my wife's yard sale. She found a steel bench in an alley a few months ago, spray painted it and sold it for $65.

I am amazed what people buy at yard sales. I had some new sweaters with the tags still on that didn't sell, but ladies bought my old swimsuit and exercise bras that had the elastic stretched out. Go figure.

Medium sized things actually... about twice the size of a Cockatiel.

Lucce is yellow but tipped in white, a mutation called buttercup while Amore is a powder blue which is also a mutation from their natural green.

For those not in/from California, that's a standard pickup truck plate as issued between 1980 and 1987. Not a custom plate.

Don't have the costume but do have the parrots to perch on my shoulder...

The new boy is quite gregarious and seems to like everyone while the little blue lady likes to spend all her time on my shoulder and not too much can move her from there.

Just came home from a dance party... all the critters are asleep here except me.

Noticed something really odd today.

For the past few weeks there has been a paint splatter line winding up the road on the climb up The Peak. Red paint, just dribbled along as if the can tipped over in the back of a truck. Was sort of cool to watch it as you did your grind up.

On Sunday I didn't notice it, but it was early and dark with a little bit of light rain. Today I realised that it has been painted over.

Some poor guy has had to walk up about 4km of road with a tin of black paint and a 4 inch wider roller - and cover the spill up. Surely the HK Govt has better stuff to do with it's money?

Nuts.

You didn't miss anything. Three people, slow pace, bad weather. Possibly the worst group ride I've ever been on.

Pondering the wife's reaction if I tell her I want a new MTB. Do I sell the old Trek 8000 to help fund this? Did about 15 miles of singletrack yesterday and had a blast. At one point on the trail, came across a group of off road unicyclists, who commented on how narrow my bars are, which I found to be a bit ironic. To be honest, my bars are NARROW, proabaly about 24" wide, as I cut them down so I could ride my bike on and off the boat dock and make it through the narrow opening on the walkways from the shore to the dock. I love it, but it took some getting used to and others would probably freak out the first time they got on my bike.

Girls are home with me now (happy happy joy) and the first meeting between the and the new kids (the parrots) was awesome... Lucce is very gregarious and has gotten along with everyone he meets while Amore just had to cuddle up with my oldest daughter and she is the shy one.

Watching my youngest playing peek a boo with Lucce was hilarious and he pulled out every trick in the book to impress her.
