Impressive bit of lockup fail there...

Just hung a new door or rather, reinstalled an old one to serve a number of purposes... provides a double entry to the front porch and will keep drafts down, seems to have cooled things by blocking the afternoon sun, and one obsessed and lovestruck parrot can no longer see this area a potential nesting site.

It also serves as a bird lock so people do not have to worry about escape attempts when they are coming in and out.

Don't know why the previous tenants ever removed this door in the first place.

That sounds like a great adventure! Don't pass up these opportunities in life.

hhaha she wasn't even joking. she's just like that, I usually never tell her any activities I plan on doing but it travels to her anyway because they are all dangerous. lol
like when I told her I was going surfing she said I was going to get sucked in a whirlpool...what? and rock climbing...the rope is going to break and I'm going to fall to my death...it was even better when I told her I was going bouldering.

Watchin' the game, roasting a bud..er...a batch of coffee. FYI, roasting coffee in 92 degree weather most certainly influences the outcome. Gah!

I'm a little worried. The only bag I have big enough to fit all my clothes has Dallas Cowboys logos all over it. I hope I don't get shot.

Put big Xs across them with red electrical tape and you should be fine.

I think I'll just try to keep the bag covered with a jacket or something when I'm carrying it around.

Well, I've been sorta busy. Work never stops, but my wife's health is back, and Mom's passing has gone from being distressing to having nice memories of her. An insurance policy she left allowed me to delete my debts, all but the mortgage, and so life is much easier now. Thanks, Mom.

I'm getting new roof put on and paid for it by buying gift certificates at Giant Eagle. They have a Gas Perks program, so $6000 of Certs = $24 off per gallon of gas. So it's free gasoline for a couple months! Woot!

Also got a new PC from Woot! It kicks ass. I didn't realize how suckilicious my old PC was.

My main distraction right now is the ukulele. I had a couple cheap (cheep) soprano Uke's that I never bothered playing with. Then about a month ago I saw a documentary Mighty Uke, and while I was watching it I got the better of the two and tuned it. I looked up a few songs and in short order I was playing! Seems the Uke is tuned like a guitar with a capo on of the fifth fret. Instant knowledge transfer! So I bought nice mass market model and have been having a ball.

Here's what I got:
An Electric Luna Concert Size

I've not been bicycling much. I feel so guilty about that. I've a bike I built last Spring and I really knocked that one out of the park, it rides so farging nice. but it's always something. I'm either tired or busy, or just don't feel like going back out to the shed and having to unlock 6 locks to finally get to the bikes. Or I'd rather sit on the porch and play Honolulu Baby on my new Uke.

Hey..foo...prayers/thoughts would be good.
My dad just called. They are taking my mom to the hospital...she's having chest pains. She just had a pacemaker installed and I don't know if this is related or not.
