This came in for work at the LBS:
The front tire was given the same treatment, except the valve was also held to the sidewall with a wrap of duct tape (yes, across the rim's brake tracks :twitchy: ). So it wouldn't slap against the fork blade, you see.
The motive was apparently that the rims are drilled for some oddball metal valve only found in Europe, called "presto" or something. I mean, just try to find those in the USA.

Too bad this guy with the drill didn't pool resources with the lady with the Presta-drilled rims ;)
