Chicken soup and a shot of whatever you like. The combination should get you sweating. Then take a nap. Should be ok in a couple of hours.
Good luck

A fever that high indicates you have a "serious" illness and should see a "doctor" immeadiately!

Nah 102 is high but not that high to go to the doctor. Im pretty sure thats the cut-off for going to the doctor/hospital. Anything higher should be looked at. But just eat some soup and take a hot bath, should feel better

PEOPLE! THE INTERNET IS NOT THE ANSWER FOR EVERYTHING!

I dont understand people who would come here and ask what they should do if they had a tree pinning them on top of a pile of tigers....

WHERE IS YOUR COMMON SENSE?

GO TO A DOCTOR! repeat GO TO A REAL LIFE DOCTOR!

THE MESSAGE BOARD IS NOT A DOCTOR!

If you've got the flu, fevers are not unusual, but 102 is high. However, unless you've got another condition like diabetes, it won't kill you. My recommendation: alcohol rub. Also eat some hot soup! Once I had a fever of 102 and I ate chicken soup. All of a sudden I started sweating like I was in a sauna, and my fever began plummeting. It went down to 100 and then never went up again. And take aceteminophen (tylenol). But if your fever doesn't go down then don't fool around, go see a doctor!

Yes, 102 is high for a persons temp, way to high in fact. Considering the human body starts dying when we reach something like 104 to 106. That is when organs start shutting down, like kidneys, liver, spleen, then eventually the heart & brain functions cease.

First take something to help break the fever. Like Tylenol or Advil or even Aspirin. The generic brands work as well as the name brands. Second do not go to work or school with a fever like this. Third get your ass to a doctor as soon as you can. You have something way more serious then a common cold. Whatever you do DO NOT DRINK ANY SORT OF ALCOHOL!!! Even if you want to mix it with tea or something like that. I think they are called hot toddy's. For one these are old wives tales that do way more harm then good. In fact it can kill you. So for those of you recommending this, SHAME ON YOU!!! You should know better. Taking something like Nyquil though is ok even though it has alcohol in it. It is a controlled amount provided you take the appropriate dosage. But when you are sick like this NEVER EVER mix alcohol with any kind of drugs that you take to relieve the symptoms.

Get well soon!

I should have told everybody that my normal temp is right around 99.4 give or take a few tenths. I was not in the mood at that time. Yes I should have been at the doctors and not asking you guys. I never think right when I have fever. My head just seems to be floating. Yea you guys can laugh! I can take it!

Thanks
