Looking for Artist/Album/Song with the kind of melody...

Hi. I've been thinking about a melody recently that at first I thought I've listened to the song before when I was young back during the 80s and it is something along the lines of new age or electronica (not the kind of dance music that I've recently heard, which is pretty much techno/party "remix") but I'm talking about the original song that has a reverb in the snare drum. Well, this is as far as I can remember and it goes something like this:

Another portion of the song has a melody with a different instrument:

This part of the melody gets repeated 4 times but I could recall the bassline that is centered in the following 4 measures:

Measure 1: G#
Measure 2: F
Measure 3: F#
Measure 4: Eb ('b' means "flat," as in "E-flat.")/D#

Here's the last one:

The bassline is for screenshots 1 and 3, which you can see below:

I hope I can explain everything that I can, but please note that not all the notes are exact.

For those who are curious about what I'm using, I'm using Rosegarden Music software for Linux for creating MIDI notes using the matrix editor (third screenshot from the left of the website) and I showed it in musical notation editor (first screenshot). This is in conjunction with ZynAddSubFX for testing to hear how the musical notes sound like). I'm typing my thread in Xubuntu 11.04 with KXStudio installed with needed software for creating music and doing graphics work.

Wow... way too technical for my musical knowledge.

That's the "Axel F Theme" by Harold Faltermeyer, otherwise known as the theme from Beverly Hills Cop.
