Anyone else pleased and amazed about the new bicycle generators on OWS?

I just read that after the police removed all of Occupy Wall Street's generators, they responded by installing bicycle generators to supply the power.

I think this is pretty freaking awesome.

OccupyMN has been using their own hand-made bike generators since day one of their occupation. So there, pfft.

while the thread is here, I'll say I was pleased and proud as a cyclist, but then we usually come through when the chips are down. I remember immediately after 9-11 Manhattan was like a ghost town - few peds and no cars. The only thing rolling was bikes, and they kept a lot of things happening. My boss was only too happy to use me as a makeshift messenger since he knew I rode to work; not to mention I was a relaible employee when many co-workers were no-shows, as my commute never suffered when the trains were FUBAR in those awful days right after the attack...

I wouldn't mind lending my legs and lungs, such as they are, to the OWS bike generator cause. But I have no time, as I work FT.

To pay my taxes.

Which are filled with bonuses for WS CEO scuzzbuckets.

Just sayin'
