Bizarre November Weather!!!!!!!!!!

I just spent the last half hour in the bathroom with the wife and the cat......no, not kinky, it's the closest thing we have to a tornado shelter in the Apartment. We just were under tornado warnings with a confirmed funnel cloud that literally passed over us. I headed us there as soon as the sky turned green and the wind picked up while the sirens were sounding.

Purdue was in lockdown, as were the smaller schools like IV Tech.

We did get winds up in the 80+ MPH range.

Stay safe amigo.
That's usually what we get for a week or so in Nov.
We get a second tornado season that coincides with the advent of warm air from the gulf and cold fronts from your neck of the woods. Guess your getting our weather this year.

On one of the many other forums I'm on - one poster there described the same green sky in the same area. They were quite shocked. Guess people in upstate NY (Buffalo area) had tornado warnings as well - very different at this time of the year.

Green sky is a sign of hail.

It's all the goobers' fault. I know. We planned it.

Tom, next time you are threatened by tornadoes, head to Lucas Oil Stadium, esp. if the Colts are playing, as the chances of a touchdown occurring there is almost zero.

Tornadoes are no joke. I've seen one EF-4 up close and personal, and that's the only time in my life I've felt true terror. But I still managed to take a picture of it.

I can't imagine an EF-5.

I have only been in three tornados. Seen some crazy stuff, but the worst that I personally experienced was a broken car window. Tornado shot a piece of concrete through my side window, looked like it got shot by a gun.

Houses on either side of mine destroyed, but our house unscathed. Tornados are as fickle as they are powerful. Seen an oak tree that was "untwisted" is the best way I can describe it. Look like it had been turned against it's growth pattern a time or two. Saw a 45 rpm record stuck into a tree. Found a 6 pack of beer still in the plastic holder thing in the middle of a field, hundreds of yards from the closest house.

In the one that blew the hole in my car window, it left our place and hit the marina I worked at. Saw 20' ski boats shoved under 50' houseboats, etc. while boats a few slips away were fine.

Honestly, when its approaching, I don't think the EF scale really matters. a 4 or a 5 probably means I'm gonna have to change underwear either way,

With Purdue's record, this year, just go to our Stadium. It's closer.

By the way, snow here by midweek. Gotta love Indiana weather.

Hey, we beat tOSU last weekend! If we beat IU, we'll be bowl eligible...might be the toilet bowl, but a bowl nonetheless.

It is rather hot (even for florida) this late into november. This puertorican is quite happy about it. I've even delayed my yearly "OMFG IS COLD" threads.

I'll be passing thru on Friday. Stopping for a snooze in Columbus (IN, not OH). Should I switch to the snow tires?

I'm in the little danger triangle in Kennesaw. Storm just passed by and I'm still here.
