The what did you get your significant other for Xmas thread

My wife, being the professional photographer that she is, is getting a new Nikon 50 mm 1.8 prime lens with a Sigma Flash and soft box.

Hopefully this will keep me out of the dog house for a while.

We don't usually buy each other gifts for b-day or xmas. We try to do a day trip or a camping trip instead. Even in winter.

We are going to go camping and hiking at Horseshoe Canyon (Canyonlands NP) in Utah this weekend for my b-day. If it's cold out we just build the campfire up bigger.

I like this idea. I live in a rainforest so camping after October is a non-starter. I don't mind it, but the wife would kill me. Utah camping in the winter does sound nice.

Hoping that for Christmas my wife gets the gift that keeps on giving.

Me.

We are not big on big flashy gifts or Christmas for that matter... being able to spend time together as a family is the most precious gift we can give each other.

For Christmas, we hope to get pregnant. That's more than enough Christmas present.

Good luck!

I am knitting my husband a cycling jersey (he picked out the pattern and the yarn!) and bought him a sub to Bike Times as well as a book on motorcycles. I hope to be able to finish the socks I started knitting him in March and sneak those into his stocking too

I am going to buy her a massage. She always complains that I have ulterior motives when I offer her one.

I thought that read "massager" at first

We don't usually bother with xmas gifts for each other. We spend enough on ourselves during the year.

The same thing she got me: plane tickets for us and our daughter back to see our family over the holidays. That's more than expensive enough.

A spiffy bracelet with a skull charm on it. Some cool decals for her scooter. A new cover for her e-reader. Not sure if I'm getting her anything else; it all depends if I see anything I think she'll like. I was going to get her a watch, but I was informed (by her) that she is far too particular about her watches and I should not buy one for her. These are things I like to know.
