Gift... should I wait? Can I wait?

I got the gifts for fiance... Christmas & Birthday (both in December). I know she is gonna use it lots and love it... she'll be happy happy joy joy! Problem is now that I have it, I wanna give it to her NOW... but if I do, protocol dictates I shall then get something else for the actual dates... but I can't wait, she'll be so happy... but but but... arg... somebody help me!

I don't see a problem in giving them early unless you usually have some large family gathering with a gift unwrapping tradition. Giving the gift early doesn't mean you need to get another gift.
