Bedroom speakers? In the bed?

Bedroom TV is about 10 feet away from bed, therefore, sound needs to be heard 10 feet away. But this also means TV will be heard in adjacent rooms. So I was thinking, I could use a 1/4 audio extension cable (I already have it) and some PC speakers (have it too) to plug it into TV's headphone jack and install it inside the bed's headboard. That would place the speakers 1 foot away from listener's head and lower volumes would be required.

But I'm afraid that if I do this, cohabitant will call me weird and say that I'm "special"... :\

Do you think these are "extreme measures" to have a quieter house or does it sound like a reasonable and easy fix?

^ I Tried that. Cohabitant refused to wear them. If I recalled correctly the words "no stinky headphones" were used, along with some expletive.

If they don't like it in adjacent rooms, that's their problem. Enjoy the show!

I was going to ask "why the tv in the bedroom?" but quickly went "Duhh, We're talking Reub here, it's for her entertainment".

Been there.. mounted them on the wall above the bed so as not to rattle the headboard when at non night time sound levels.

And XXX adult videos. Why else would you not want people (ie. kids) in the other rooms to hear?
