Simple MS Outlook Question

At work we use Outlook in a complicated way, and I know what to do, because it's for work.

But, at home, it's a different world: I installed Outlook 2010 on my home PC. I have an email account for a college that I added to Outlook at home using IMAP. It works great. This I know how to do. The college email is the only email I want in Outlook.

But, this is what is bothering me: My Outlook looks like it has two email accounts in it now. How do I make it look like one? This is what my leftmost sidebar looks like in Outlook 2010:

Favorites:
Inbox - Outlook Data File
Sent Items
Deleted Items
Inbox - [College email I added]
---------------------------------
Outlook Data File:
Inbox
Sent
Drafts
[etc]

College email I added:
Inbox
Sent
Drafts
[etc]

---------------------------------

How the frick do I make get it so it shows one email account, instead of the two that are there?

As far as I know, you can't make it look like one. Outlook keeps them separate, so that responses from each box are also kept separate. If you only USE the one, you could go to the folder you don't use and try to right-click, delete it; or, go back through the method you used to add the second box, and look for a place to delete the primary one. Might not be possible, though.

There's a Microsoft Store in the Mall of America in Bloomington MN. I know its too far for you, but maybe you can call that store and speak with one of their tech guys. Near where I live is a Microsoft Store and they helped me on my new HP Laptop.
