Post your music!

Between Pcad's axe thread and Fuzzbox' wordyRappinghood I gots inspired to start a thread for foo folks to post their music. We've had a couple of people starting their own music threads here in the past, but I'd love to see this thread stick around, with everyone contributing who wants to.

I wanna make some new recordings, but we have almost everything packed away right now due to work being done on our place, but here is a link to a song I wrote about Major Taylor. Sorry, super sloppy live version - my friend and his wife did a groovy faux moog cover which is linked off the Wikipedia page for MT

Here's some of my original music. I wrote this about 15 years ago.

Anthony I was specifically thinking of your past music thread in the OP - and was hoping you'd pop in here. I really like the original tune!

Classically strung solid body, Gibson Chet Atkins, with a bit of Chorus.

That was great AnthonyG! A uke with a banjo sound, the best of two worlds! Twice in three months I've gone done to the music shop intent on buying a tenor but a soprano uke always manages to follow me home instead.

I mainly play gtr but have played bass a bit for friend's band over the past decade or so. Here's a show we did for web radio last year (scroll down 4 or 5 spots to "Phillip Eno"). There's a mini video of the day here.

Well, that took me back. I used to play guitar in a band called The Anarchs, back in the day. We did a lot of Ramones and Pistol covers, and even briefly opened for the Ramones on a Midwest swing for a whole 2 shows.

That's OK, Punk'll do that to ya. I've since graduated to primarily Jazz/Blues, and Classical, and even a bit of country and 70's folk.

Yes it sounds great doesn't it. I started out with Concert scale ukulele's and I've been working my way up through Tenor scale and now a Baritone scale ukulele. The banjo ukulele is a step back to concert scale but that's the way they come. I've tried to play Soprano ukulele's but they are just too small for me.

Thanks. Its a simple song but there's something to be said for simple songs.

Right you are! I like some 'busy' music but it's always refreshing to see what goodies can be found with just a few chords and a pretty melody.

Here is my take on an old traditional ballad.

For those who read Pcad's axe thread this is my PRS with one piece maple top and P90s (1 live track for the gtr, these were done with Garageband, lo-fi and sloppy due to my impatience at redoing things)

Here's a band I played with back in the early 90s. I used to tape band rehearsals on a cheap boom box!

You have a good voice! Wish the audio was a bit clearer there...And there's some real nice playing on that first clip.

I actually played bass on this but it's been remixed to the point you can barely hear that...but I am in the live bits (under the fuzzy hat).

A more recent and very live version here (starts at 3 mins in).
