Chuck would have ripped off the gunmens fingers and shoved them into the holes.

Sad that the guy can survive a war zone unharmed and gets shot in the country he risked his life to protect. The robbers need to displayed in a tall tree on the end of a short rope.

Give the Lt. Col. some time to heal, keep the scumbags in a cell. When the Lt. Col. is feeling better, put him in the cell with the scumbags. Make it pay-per-view, I'd watch it. The two punks would piss themselves when they saw him comming.

He seems like a decent guy. Wonder if he would show mercy or beat the living daylights out of them?

Even Chipcom? What about Gomer Pyle?

FTR, I have the utmost respect for anyone in the Armed Services who sacrifices much and risks all to keep me and my family safe and free.

I concur.
Chuck Norris is to men as Huffy is to motorcycles.
Oscar Wilde used to go to Chuck Norris for fashion advice, but found his tastes a bit too pink.
Chuck Norris was originally cast as Ferris Beuller, but Mathew Broderick took his lunch money AND his role.
Even Matthew McConoughay calls him "Chuckles."

Bullets change course to avoid Chuck or the gun will misfire.

No such behavior for the rest of us.

Makes you wonder what was going through the perps heads when thry decided to mug a guy who looks like this.

And yes... I'd watch that pay per view and don't expect that Trenker would be sitting down to have a heart to heart with these scumbags.

That's what I thought when I saw his picture. I'd rather floss a bear's teeth than attack a combat hardened career marine.

Normally I'd mock the USMC a little (I was Army 1986-1992) but I just can't bring myself to do it this time. Looks like LTC Trenker is made of genuine 100% USDA-approved American Tough.

Heal fast, Marine, there are people counting on you. And pulling for you.

A lot of criminals are idiots. That is one of the scary things, you can make it obvious that trying to rob you is a stupid thign to do and they will try anyway.

I know of a case where 2 guys tried to mug a college football player, only a 210 lb wide receiver who was a madman. I know about it becaseu a coworker whose daughter was dating the guy got a call asking her to pick him up because he was not sure he had not killed the guys.

In some ways yes, in some ways no. I played Rugby for years, a few times with and against Marines. They were not tougher than I was on the pitch. Had one of my more serious injuries filling in on a Marine team at the Santa Barbara tournament. Seperated my shoulder in their fiorst match Sunday. Finished that match and the next one with them and a half with my old college team after that.

Only time I got cautioned in a match was protecting the Marine corp verteran on our team (heck he was still the fittest of us all, but a mere 160 lbs).

In another way cold and tough, years later I played against a Marine Corp team, eitehr Camp Pendelton or 29 Palms, again no tougher on hte pitch, but over half of them had rather unusual tattoos. The same info that is on their dogtads on their right side sort of under their arm. Makes one realize what they were ready to face and that they were fully aware of the potential cost. In that way as tough as they come.

Bah. They're all pansies next to this guy.

Besides, I'll bet the other kids in the nursery didn't call Chuck a pansy.

It doesn't say what caliber nor what kind of ammo it was. Not that it matters tho, this is for sure a tough guy. But I still wonder.

Don't wonder too much in Roberta, Ruben. Those sandpits are harsh.

marine corps doesn't feel that way.

On March 28, 2007, Commandant Gen. James T. Conway made Norris an honorary United States Marine during a dinner at the commandantís residence in Washington, D.C.

Sorry, you can't compare the pitch of a game to the real life toughness these guys have, no matter how tough the game is.

You look rather self absorbed and self aggrandizing for even trying.
