It finally happened!

So I was riding my bike around my area doing my normal route. I happened to be riding on the sidewalk next to the mall. About to approach one of those things where the side walk stops for cars to pull out onto the main road. So I see a car in the turn lane possibly going to turn onto the main road and then there was a car behind it. Well I go behind the car and hop onto the sidewalk and throughout this process I have to make a split second decision to make a hard left to continue the side walk or turn right and go into dirt/bushes/rocks. Well I couldn't make my mind up fast enough and just went into the crosswalk pole. Well..my bike did because the pedal/cranks and part of the handle bar did since I was trying to avoid it. It went pretty smoothly because I didnt fall I just walked it off. However, this all happened right in front of a car full of people. Embarrassing.

Lol I wished someone taped it. I just turned around, started laughing and picked my bike up and rode away.

Umm, don't go and do it again in order to record it. General rule is if you go and try that again, the crash will be worse than it is the first time.

In one occasion I ended up on my back with the bike riding me... and then I was so busted up I couldn't unclip and had to take the shoes off, leaving them attached to the pedals.

You get better at doing something when you practice. Everyone knows that. Crashing is no exception.

Once I was biking through a school parking lot and for some reason I turned to look at something. The drive must have curved because the next thing I knew I was going over the handlebars, flipped, and rolled all the way to the bottom of a deep ditch. Luckily it didn't hurt, and when I got up I noticed a man on some scaffolding working on a nearby house, clapping for me. I bowed, and walked back to my bike.

AN update on today's reckless journey. "They are out to get me."

...So I'm cruising on the sidewalk. About to cross an exit to a parking lot. A car is about to turn so I decide to cross behind it. The sidewalk doesn't go behind the car so I hop over a little dirt gap onto the road to continue onto the other side of the sidewalk. In the process of hopping a cop is pulling up behind the car. Let's just say if I was a couple seconds short we would have collided. I pretty much booked it afterwards. I was going the opposite direction as the cars on the road and on the sidewalk. I rather get a fine/ticket/arrested for something sweeter.
