Frugal decision for the day

Woke up with a strong craving for an egg McMuffin. Opted for a bowl of cream of wheat at home. Savings about $2.50 ... and about 200 calories

What was your Frugal Decision for the day???

I've been splurging today. I turned the heat on for about 45 minutes.

Later though, I went to the library by bicycle.

As the windchill is 13F, I donned my hoodie and fuzzy microfiber pj pants, crawled under my blanket, and posted on Facebook that today wasn't a good day to try nudism.

Decided to stay home today. My other option was going to a few flea markets. Probably saved hundreds! LOL!

I got elected to coach a boys flag football team by default (my wife led the charge to get the boys signed up and none of the other parents agreed to coach) and I had to get jerseys ordered today. I went with the least expensive jersey the league offered. Saved the parents and myself some money.

I bought a half pound of hot headcheese. Nibbled on that, Ritz crackers, and apples instead of going to the Chinese buffet.

I bought Two Buck Chuck Shiraz at Trader Joe's. I'll let you know later if it was a good frugal move or not.

I bought some slightly used fenders at the co-op today for $10 instead of buying brand new ones.

Good job. Now you won't have to hold a garage sale to buy all the stuff you would have bought at the flea market.

I don't really see the frugality in not showering. Now you're going to have to use twice the soap to clean off the funk.

Got 2 bacon and egg biscuits at Hardee's. Ate one for b'fast, rode some trails, then pulled the other out of my seatbag and had lunch. Tasted just fine cold. $3.33 for both.

I made no frugal decisions today. I overslept, and took a cab to work instead of my bike or bus. I ate oatmeal purchased from the coffee shop across the street from work. I bought yet another iPhone app. I ate lunch at the Mexican restaurant nearby. Bleh.

At this rate, I will run out of money before payday.

I ordered ten pounds of Guatemalan and Costa Rican green beans to roast. Don't remember the last time I bought $$$*bucks coffee. 2 years of roasting and my Popcorn Pumperô is still going strong.

Wanker. Come talk to me about frugality when you have 145 pounds of green coffee in your garage.

I almost bought a new TV today and then realized that I don't watch as much TV as I used to. So the one I bought 7 years ago will have to work a bit longer.

Can't really call it frugal because of the initial cost, but we upgraded our phones a couple of weeks ago to Droid Razr Maxxs. 2 of them... ouch. Yesterday, both my wife and I saw different articles that said all Razr phones were buy one, get one free. Since we were still in our 14 day "Worry Free Guarantee" period, we went back to the store today to "return" and re-buy our phones. No problems and we left with a big chunk of change in our pockets. That's pretty frugal, relatively speaking!

First I google what Frugal was... now I know.

My frugal decision was to stay home. I wanted to test the new rifle scope but I only had time for the local ranges that have no benches. I would have had to shoot from standing position and I suck at it. Therefore the test would have been a waste of money, ammo and time... and I would have had to go to another range with benches later on. I saved about $20 bucks.
