I used to use one of those.. and I did notice sometimes they can become "stuck" on as it were, but it's easily stopped and very hard not to notice the damn thing doesn't stop getting hotter.. but I'll hope that guy had a lemon battery or something.

This dude had some serious injuries, but I just couldn't get the Looney Tunes exploding cigar out of my mind as I read the article.

Is Ruben still an electro-smoker?

Yeah that's pretty much what came to mind for me too.. but either the battery exploded or the vaporizer, sounds more like the vap.. so was probably like a mini shrapnel grenade really :/ and I'm sure Rube will tell you soon.

I've heard of exploding cigars, but they were a joke.

What about those battery operated electric bongs used by many in the P+R forum?
Are they in any danger?

This is just a spin-off from the exploding laptop batteries. E-Cig specific forums have analyzed this stories inside out. There's lots of info out there about what battery/charger combinations to avoid.

PS: and there's no such thing as an electronic smokers... there's no "smoke"

It's a play on words.
The Nile rhymes with denial.
There is an English saying, "The Nile is not a River in Egypt." It comes from the title of a book by, Don Ross."

What is the point of the eCig?

Is it a crutch to wean folks off cigarettes? Or is it a hobby/money-pit unto itself?

Link isn't served up properly by the host. I would love to know how to make these explode.

I'm going to take my daughter's out to the yard and plug it with my trusty '45 in a youtube rant.
