How to make a backyard fence more private?

And for cheap...and easy?

My girlfriend and I are looking at a house to rent. Everything checks out nicely, they're going to repair all the things we pointed out in the walkthrough. The property is owned and managed by a professional property management company and all that jazz. Price and whatnot are all good.

My only issue, aside from no kitchen being truly big enough, is that there are small gaps between the posts in the fence. I like being naked. I really like being naked and want to be able to be so in my backyard.

Does anyone know of a way to make a fence more private for not much money or effort?

Thanks!

Since it's a rental property, you're kind of limited.

My first suggestion would be to plant bushes in front of the fence, but that might be difficult to do if you are limited to putting them in pots because you're renters.

Maybe cover the fence with a tarp on your side?

Plastic tarp roll, used for temporary roofing. Use paint gun to make it pretty. A 8x10 segment is only 6.88 at Amazon, and it's eligible for prime

I think rolls of painter's plastic is cheaper, but blue tarp is made for outdoors and won't melt down with the sun.

Then you only have to worry about satellite imagery, reconnaissance drones looking for pot growers and helicopters.

Well, if you looked like me, you wouldn't have a problem. No one would look twice if I was out there naked....people prefer to protect their sight.

First, see if it's legal to simply be naked in your backyard where you live. Usually, to most people's surprise, it IS legal as long as you aren't doing anything lewd.

Otherwise, without a photo of the fence you are talking about, I can't really offer anything else--other than sticking boards in the gaps?

Who cares what the neighbors think, they'll get use to your nudity in time, hell, they may be the ones who patch the fence

You planning on living there long term? What modifications does the lease allow? As far as property improvements go, most management companies are pretty amenable to you doing things as long as you ask first and it looks good. I mean it improves the value, right?

Just where the hell do you reside now?You change locations more than a fugitive gypsy.

Tell your neighbors about your sans-pants, nudist lifestyle and they'll either squirt you with the garden hose, call the cops, or pay for a privacy fence.

At least carry a sock for your junk to wear if you get hauled off to jail.

Perhaps attach greenhouse fabric or the pvc type membrane used on greenhouses to the fence. It's not terribly expensive.

I used Bamboo fencing screen against my neighbors chain-link fence / gaps. They are pigs and also saw her naked once (not a pretty site)

I then planted honeysuckle against it and it looks great

When I saw the subject, I was going to suggest running around naked to ward off peeping neighbors.

Carry on, then.
