Trying to find a movie

I only remember the ending:

A woman, her boyfriend and 2 kids are on a van. The vehicle is rigged with explosives and they are demanding payment (I think is was ransom for the children). One of the two is holding a button, connected to the detonator.

Another man is outside, on the road, running towards the van (not sure if he was law enforcement or a relative of the kids). Something happens and the couple decides to blow up the van. The button is pushed and the van explodes, with the guy, the woman, the children and all.

The man on the road stops, gets on he's knees and cries.

It's an old movie. But I can't remember how old.

Wow... 61 views and not a single clue. I'm starting to think that the movie was a Spanish production that never made it to the English speaking audience.

Would you like recommedations on good movies? That plot line sounds sucked from television.

A friend of mine told me he recalls watching that movie, or at least the ending was the same. He said the movie was not about the kidnapping, but rather about about some rich people. These rich people were born into a rich family and never learned to make a living for themselves. When their allocated money runs out and the rest of the family turns their backs on them, they decide to kidnap these children from their own family.

Anyhow, I still have like 15 episodes of Code Geass waiting on my queue.

PS: Ilikebikes, don't you dare telling me the ending

I have no clue about the movie you are looking for but for a great fun kidnap movie try "Raising Arizona" with Nick Cage.

Funny thing RubenX. I was just about to post a "what was that movie" where there is a scene with two kids standing on a road near a barrier and someone in a van tries to run into them. In the movie, the kids apparently saw something they weren't supposed to see. I think something bad had happened to the parents.

How's your dating life these days? If you're trying to snag a nice girl/lady who will settle down, I'd recommend watching all the Jane Austin movies. You will get points from having said that you've seen them, and even MORE points if you sit through them again with said lady. I'd recommend starting with the BBC version of Persuasion and then trying the BBC version of Pride and Prejudice with Colin Firth. If you can't stand sitting through 5 hours, that's what the beer in your fridge is for.

Dating Life, been engaged for almost 3 years now. I get my points by sitting through Glee and Sex and the City.

No idea about your movie tho. And at the present time I'm going through one of my anime phases so that's all I can recommend ATM.

That's called wasting time. An engagement should only be long enough to plan a wedding. Anything longer is just a delay tactic. You either want to get married or you don't.

You've had two other attempted marriages as I recall. pgjackson is correct in that a 3 year engagement isn't an engagement. But you need to be honest with yourself, where are you going with this.

Hold your gunz guys, hold your gunz. There was an error in translation here and math miscalculation. First Date happened almost 2 years ago ( I thought it was 3, but it's 2). Boyfriendhood arrived soon after. I'll guestimate cohabitation started at some point during mid-late 2010, and "the question" was popped early 2011. Setting the "engagement duration" to around one year. So calm down and let Rube get a job.
