Aquaponics? You gots? I wants.

I've been toying with the idea for close to a year now.. and I think I'm confident I know enough to try it out now. Stupid right? This coming from a former hydroponics salesman. I finally came up with a design I like, and it's going to cost me probably under 50 bucks to set up the system itself, minus the fish. So this week hopefully I will get together my plant tray, medium, and build up the prototype with the rest. Maybe I'll keep this thread going as my project log.. who knows.

what kind of fish are you planning on using?
I've heard talapia do well w/ aquaponics. Also, what plants are you planning on using?

I just sold all of my stuff to my brother in law over the weekend. I had put it together a few years ago, it was small but it was working great, I lost interest when we moved to a our new home. All I have left is a 50 gallon breeder tank and stand. =0(
