Woodworking

We need a woodworking thread.

Ok, who's ever impregnated wood? Yes, I realize the risk of asking that question here.
I have some walnut and I want to make it into a reel seat and grip for a fly rod.

Thanks, Chris.
I'm also thinking of polymerizing some bamboo poles for my next frame.

I need a vacuum pump to make my wood hard. *hangs head*

My husband used PolyEthylGlycol 10,000 to soak green wood bowls in to prevent cracking... worked really well - replacing moisture with PEG, but tended to clog up the grinders & sanders afterward.....
