Brag about your city ... succinctly

Let's hear it. What is the best thing about your city ... in 7 words or less

Mine - 'great bike trails along the river.'

My wife's description - 'Encourages the arts. Close to everything. Parks.'

Great, great system of bike trails; probably the worst selection of bikes I have seen on CL . . .

You can't have it all.

Out fishing with Annie on his lap, a cigar in one hand and a ginger ale in the other, watching the sunset.

Great trails everywhere, comfortable weather (for me at least) 95% of the time, tons of bikes, good public transit, mostly friendly people, very art-supportive, nice parks, mountains, and lots of water, both salt and fresh.

You guys are both lucky that the Foo police disbanded a few years back. Since you exceeded the 7 words, I will selectively alter your descriptions on your behalf.

bikemig - 'great system of roadways for hummers'.

Lamplight - 'landscape dotted with oil refineries'

For the rest of you ... keep it to 7 words, or suffer the wrath of my sarcasm.

Hmmm, I'm pretty sure you could have by dropping the first 3 words. Let's see:

Indy_Rider - "neighborhood built on old garbage dump".

See, I managed that one in 6 words

The only place I've been to in Virginia is Roanoke ... actually Smith Mountain Lake outside of Roanoke. Was there on a course. Loved the area.

'I found sobriety in Pittsburgh.'

I will forever be in debt to some of the people of this city. They found my life valuable, and saved it.
