I don't think it's even worth advertising anymore. I've got 50. I think google is only keeping invite only at this point so they don't get too many people who don't communicate too well with computers running into bugs while it's in beta.

Exactly, doesn't everyone have gmail already anyway? I have 100 invites and I hardly use it! It seems like I've had my account for over a year and the service is still beta, comon Google it's good just release the public version already.

Gmail invites are no longer coveted as they are as plenty as fish in the sea.

Has anyone noticed this at the bottom of google's page?
    Check it out: www.google.com

Nope. That must just be another extension of the beta. I know google is big into targeted invites.

You may occasionally notice when you do a google search that a dropdown box appears as you type with suggestions of common searches. It's another beta product called Google Suggest. Right now a few people are redirected seamlessly to it when they go to the Google homepage, while everyone else uses Google normally. Alternately, if you search for "google suggest," the first hit should be the beta page where you can mess around with it and offer feedback. Just another cool example of Google creating totally awesome web apps.

I have fifty. If someone as woefully unhip as me has fifty invites to the hippest email service on the web, you know the cachet is pretty much gone.

    Anyone want one? Or ten?

    did
