The USPS sucks.

I sent my good buddy chris... some coffee the other day. Somehow the label got ripped off of the package. The coffee showed up yesterday at my house. chris..., I will send out another bag soon.

Hugs and kisses.

You suck at mailing stuff bro. Maybe you should consider a herd of carrier pigeons, or pony express, or even hand delivery.

You do not want to experience the Couch version of 'hand delivery'. Not exactly a 'happy ending' if you get my meaning, and I know you do.

Something similar happened when I tried sending MC coffee once. It worked when I sent Tom coffee.

I'm using UPS for now on.

Don't worry, they'll be bankrupt in a few weeks and go to once-weekly residential service, only on Tuesdays. Also, first-class stamps will be $5.

After reading the article, it sounds like the USPS tried correcting many of the problems but were not allowed by our wonderful elected officials.

Now I have another sad.

The NZ Post was contemplating going to thrice-weekly delivery to same some NZD.

For all I get in the mail any more, the USPS could go to once weekly on Tuesdays... 90% of it just goes into the recycling bin anyway.

So... what kind of coffee is worth sending in the mail anyways?

It's a locally roasted coffee from Pittsburgh. It was a bean from Ethiopia. We are lucky here in Pittsburgh as we have several local coffee roasters.

Actually, if the USPS would just recycle the ads in the mail for me and only bring me bills/statements/magazines/packages, that might be useful...

I had a valuable item get lost in the mail last year. The whole claim process took months and countless phone calls. At one point they even closed the claim because part of my paperwork got lost in the mail (USPS) between my local branch and the main office. When they finally issued a check I requested that they FedEx it to me. They didn't find if funny.

I also had a package from ribble take longer to go from the UK to my local post office than it did from my post office to my place (3 blocks)

Another first class package took the better part of 3 weeks to go from CA to IA.

Back when I owned my own business I used USPS to ship my customers orders to them. There was a time where a lot of orders were being "lost." It go so bad that I called up my local post office and told them about it and asked what could be causing all my outgoing mail to keep getting lost.

I couldn't believe the response:

"Try dropping them in a different mailbox"

WUT???

Why not have Juan Valdez deliver it for you? If he can get his coffee here from Colombia on his donkey, he should be able to get it to southern IL.
And get off my lawn if you're too young to remember him.

I think it's more they've learned to check all the coffee shipments for whatever is packed inside so that the coffee masks it.

Whenever anyone complains about the USPS, the quote above should be read. I'll hold UPS and FedEx in higher regard when they start delivering to any established address in the United States without exception.
