do you think shes doping ?

http://sports.yahoo.com/news/olympic...e-shiwen-.html

LONDON She's 16 years old, and for 50 meters on Saturday night, she swam faster than U.S. superstar Ryan Lochte. And now China's Ye Shiwen is at the center of some controversial buzz at the Aquatics Center of these Olympic Games.

I do think it's odd how well CHina is doing across the board in swimming all of a sudden.

Doping is even going on in the local AMATEUR 40+ bicycle racing peloton. I mean, this is like beer softball but with lower resting heart rates, and of course the softball players get more chicks. They popped two amateur cyclists on some local big ride here. The only reason they don't pop guys for doping in the amateur races I do is they don't test on the amateur level unless it's a state or national championship race. Not for nothing, but when a 50 year old amateur weekend bike racing guy who was pack fodder for the last few years is suddenly in the breakaways every Sunday, I get skeptical that it's his new training regimen alone that's propelling him to the top of the local results.

Different story @ the Olympics, much harder to get away with it with all the doping controls they have now. But not impossible.

Nobody cares about swimming yet by the way. That sport is too wet anyway.

I'm speculating here, but with the amount of control that I'm guessing China has over it's athletes, if they want you to dope, you're doping. I doubt you get a vote. So she probably is on who only knows what substance that testing hasn't even been developed for yet. When a woman breaks the world record and is suddenly faster than all the men, it's pretty suspect.

That's why I like archery. I don't think doping helps.
A blind guy broke the world record yesterday. <--The Koreans are just superhuman when it comes to a bow.

You figure with a billion people and a national sports program, the odds are that you will find people that are genetically gifted in some particular sport.

I dont think a female has ever been faster than the worlds best male in any sport. I could be wrong.

China has a history of doping, especially with athletes who were nobodies just months before and come out of nowhere.

I dont think age has anything to do with it because the best female swimmers always tend to be young.
