Fake products on ebay and amazon

It's very hard to find genuine products these days on ebay or amazon. If it's a name brand and ships from china it's probably a fake. I sent back a lifeproof iphone case last week, a terrible knock off but only about 25% cheaper than the authentic one. It was located in California. I have heard of other products, mainly photography related though.

Okay, I give up. How can you tell the real fake vomit and poo from the fake fake vomit and poo?
I stop for people / whose right of way I honor / but not for no one.

Yep, I have a hobby and the REAL parts for projects come from Hong Kong, which is where all the fake parts come from, too, so I have to spend time on obscure Internet forums where people with more time on their hands than I have go through all the sellers and tell you who is real and who is fake. It does get to be obvious, though, when a handful of sellers only have a handful of units sold and are 1/4th the price of another seller who has thousands of units sold at four times as much. Then it all changes a few months later.

Otherwise, I avoid eBay and the like. I really don't like Craigslist, either, even though that is how I sold my car in under three hours for my asking price.

Fake cell phone accessories and DVDs are not uncommon on the Amazon marketplace.
I buy collectible cards too, so I'm always checking those when they come in.
I like my road bike, but I love my hybrid.
