MidLife Crisis Car - For a Woman ?

Just wondering what a woman looks for in a midlife-crisis car ?
I know someone in the market and would like to help with recommendations.
Still needs to be a bit practical and seat 4, and not super expensive.

It all depends on price range, her knowledge/preference in cars, etc. I find that women love pretty much anything without a top. My buddy's Toyota Solara convertible seems nice, has 4 seats, and is pretty well priced.

Our mid-life, single neighbor has a first gen Miata and the newest Mini Cooper, both convertibles, or course, and manual transmissions. She drives them both equally, too.

Why don't you ask her? I bet she's got her eye on something. My mom always wanted an Alfa Romeo. It had two kiddie seats, so it technically qualified as a 4 seater.... as long as the passengers are under 5.

    Instead I got braces.

Maybe there's a car from her past she always wanted. A Firebird, Camaro, Mercedes or something. Get a Subaru Impreza WRX and she can buy as much speed as she wants.

She drove a beetle as a rental a few years ago but wasn't thrilled. I know she likes the Mini, and was thinking of a Jeep of some sort. She's looking for ideas, so asking her won't really help. Hoping to give her some ideas.

I almost said "Wrangler Unlimited" in the post, but wasn't sure how well 4 doors would go over.

You might look at the Fiat 500c. It combines hardtop and convertible.

You really need to know what will she be doing with the car, and how can it fill her needs. chris..... shows what can happen if the car is only impulse. It's got to fill the needs as well.

My mid-life crisis car was a 4 door Nova with a strong V8 engine and low mileage. Plenty of power to go up winding mountain roads fast, which I was doing because there was a lot of driving between Palm Springs and San Diego then. I even got a 3 month warranty on a 25 year old car.

Mini. They're pricey but it's a fantastic car-I drive one in the winter very often and it's almost as good as my Subaru

    Jaaaaag

    or

    Aston Martin Rapide

I don't know about the looks of 2012 jaags... they look like a ford mondeo.

At which point, you might as well buy yourself a 2013 ford fusion, because that is a sexy looking car.

Food for thought: if you aren't dead by 2050, you and your entire family will be within a few years from starvation. Now that is a cruel gift to leave for your offspring. ;)

The car will be a daily commuter and family car. She already has a minivan for big trips/cargo etc, so something a bit more fun, with some style, but still room for 4 people.
