Make It Stop!

OK the Del Taco thread can stop anytime but this time I want to complain about my office... I start my morning eating a fresh healthy meal of yoqurt and a 1/2 of apple. For lunch I will have a salad and the other half of apple... someone right now is cooking up bacon and eggs in the lunch room... BACON for gosh shakes - the Devil's food... My mouth literally won't stop watering! Why does bacon smell so good???? How will I be satisfied with my lame little salad for lunch?

Life is a mystery!

I live across the street from this place - http://angelosburger.com/ and they cook pounds of bacon every morning at 6. The smell fills the whole neighborhood.

I'm dieting right now so I know I can't eat a lot of foods. I've taken an almost perverse pleasure in the scent of foods though. People can try to tease me by waving it in front of my face. I just take a whiff and smile. "Hmmmmm, I be that's good." "Ya want some?" "No, that's okay."

FYI, we all die in the end. Only you can decide if the benefits of eating bacon are outweighed by the seven minutes of more life that you may have by not eating bacon. And really, you could be squashed by a bus on your way home tonight, so what will your bacon avoidance have done for you then?

My guy is on Optifast 800 and can't eat anything. That means alot of his social life would be affected if he couldn't join me and our friends for lunch or dinner. He comes along and says "Hey smells have no calories!" I personally don't get it but its working for him. I just hate to eat in front of him though. Good thing its keeping me honest as well --- I will have a nice light salad instead of the western bacon cheeseburger...

When I worked at Capital One, the snack machines had microwave popcorn available and there were ovens at the lunch area. Almost every afternoon a couple of people would have their popcorn and leave the entire floor drooling over it.
