I buy from Kroger and this is one of their brands. So it was a real thank you.

I worry sometimes I'm too foolish or snarky.

Oh I understood the sincerity! This is a big name brand so I figured it was very common. They recently had this on sale in my area for $1.00 per bag and I'm sure a lot of people bought it.

To the distributors credit: Kroger and this brand have a fairly effective tracking system using a QR mark that in theory tracks the produce from the field to the table.

That's true, actually. Out here I'm sure they can find out who bought it through their grocery card. You know, the one that EVERYONE has to have in order to get the sale price. LOL.

Have you had a reaction to it?

Most people that consume salmonella don't even realize it, and never will. Especially if you don't have a compromised immune system.

Costco is actually very good about that. I got a notice in the mail about the peanut butter I had purchased several weeks prior, that had already been eaten in it's entirety.

Had a very bad case of it when I was a sophomore in highschool, was nearly hospitalized due to it. It's also the reason I will never step foot into a tgi fridays again.

Technology is Amazingly Either Really Scary or very scarily under used.

I for one need to re-read 1984.

I pretty much ignore the salmonella warnings. I eat undercooked eggs (actually I prefer them that way). I've eaten undercooked chicken & salmon. I've eaten lots of peanut butter in the past several months. And I eat lots of raw spinach. Not once have I had a bad reaction from any of it. Some people (usually the very young and the very old) who have weak and/or otherwise compromised immune systems should certainly be careful when it comes to bad bacteria in their foods.

I introduce lots of good bacteria fairly regularly into my diet via yogurt, kim chi, and other fermented foods. Maybe they're in my belly fighting the bad ones to the death.

There is a group of folks that believe that with our society that is obsessed with sterility that we are raising generations of people with less immunity and at the same time building some super bugs.

Pass the raw milk.

I've been bitten by zombies so many times and I feel fine. Little known fact, salmonella is the cure for zombieitis.

Well it's the spinach that's recalled...but your question is valid because there IS spinach in spring mix. Also in their 50/50 type and in the other mixes they have

Yes! I agree! Today it's always clean clean clean! Heck, we survived without anti-bacterial soap, didn't we? Kids need to be exposed to germs and such or their immunities will be weak.
