Protecting your personal information ... how freakish are you?

I just activated my new VISA card, which means I had to dispose of my old one. I don't just dispose of old cards, I obliterate them. I always cut them up into tiny pieces before throwing them up. Then I throw out the pieces into separate garbage bags. Yes, I know this is way over-kill ... but somehow very satisfying

Also, I never throw away any piece of paper with our signatures, address, financial numbers, etc without shredding it first.

How about you guys? How freakish are you about protecting personal information?

It would freak me out ... if I owned an Android. Luckily I don't. Why would anyone let that type of info out???

I have a BB for work, but no personal cell/smart phone.

It's all the Dudley Doright cartoons and Sgt. Preston of the Yukon(and his dog King)movies,Bob+Doug McKenzie show etc. from my youth.Who can forget the all time classic"Call of the Canadian Rockies"?The famous rock group"Doug and the Slugs"?You really need more examples?

How can I not have a stereo-type of Northcountry after all this input?
The Great White North was bigger than a frozen Hollywood at one time.

I assume this will clear up any confusion towards my feelings of the RCM?

I always shred anything with personal information on it. I also cut up old credit cards but I throw them in one trash can - that just happens to be the one I throw the scooped contents of the cat litter box into.

If there is money missing from your bank account, don't worry. Your bank shall cover it.

Pretty much the same. I do separate cards in the garbage as well.

I've been known to dispose of credit cards by putting them in the grease jar.

Get yourself a document shredder that handles credit cards. Make sure it's a cross cut shredder.
