As Freddie Mercury said....

Get on your bike and ride!

My first vacation was from the center of L.A. to the outskirts and spent the night watching the stars crawling across the sky near Six Flags, then to Ventura, I took a day off and then rode to my mom's house in Santa Barbara, and finally took the train back home.

I find when my fuse is short, the problem is me. I need to reexamine and reprioritize my feelings and desires. I tend to compare myself to others around me and if I do not feel like I measure up, then I get angry and transfer my aggression to those around me. Bad juju. I am not you, but just sharing about how I work internally. I am going to go ride now, and count my blessings.

(an old Texican cowpoke image adjustment song)

when ever I feel afeared
I hold my head erect
and whistle a happy tune
so no one will suspect
I'm afeared

I need one too. Unfortunately, I have to wait until May. On the plus side, I think it will be worth the wait (we're taking a 7 day tour of Southern Ireland, and I'll be there for my 45th birthday).
