How about ... if you're ever in Southern Ontario, I'll make some pancakes and pour Canadian Maple syrup overtop, served with a brewski. You can grab a toque out of our front closet. We've got lots

See,this is the problem up there, peacefull and no guns.
Instead of "drawing down"(Texican for pulling out your six-shooter) on this insult from the wiley Texican you try and befriend him with maple syrup and a funny Maple Leaf NHL stocking hat with a fruity blue pom-pom on top.

    What's a "furriner"?

This guy has no experience in a showdown.
How about only shoot his right hand like Roy Rodgers would do so he can still peck his keyboard in here?

People that come from parts other than the The Republic of Texas can generally fall into one of three categories, yankees, carpetbaggers and furriners, like Limeys and Frogs and what not.

In Canada, the prices we pay are considerably higher than in the US, especially for cell providers, due to the lack of competition. But there's always negotiation room. As an example of savings, I went from an almost $90 cable bill to a $62 bill, without any reduction in channels. It's good for one year, at which time I'll be phoning them again.
If you do I hope you don't make that big of a deal about it. Just so you know a supervisor might be able to "do more" but it actually just pisses everyone off. Supervisors are there to watch the people and not to take calls and 75% of them have less knowledge than the agent. No offense to you but it makes me angry when people do that. I had worked in call center job before and it disgusts me what some people say. It is one thing if an agent is rude/stupid/etc but you don't even know half of what goes on until you've experienced working there. It isn't our money so why isn't it handed out more often? Because there are consequences behind it.

Every passing minute is another chance to turn it all around.

No offense taken. But that doesn't mean I won't always negotiate a better price for a service I'm convinced I'm over-paying for. I'm not the type that freaks out, or says offensive stuff over the phone, however I will ... politely (I'm Canadian after all) ... remind them that there are other alternatives for which I'm willing to switch to. I have yet had anyone suggest I go with another provider, however I'm always more than willing to do so. If the person on the other end of the phone call is unhappy having to deal with my type of call, then I would hope they actively look for work elsewhere.
