Fenders, Pies and Gmail

i was thinking about making a pie this morning when i realized my ghetto homemade fender sucked. i cut more of the fender off so it would hold better but no it sprays sludge on me. so my jeans and my bag have a nice tag on them. then i got to thinking i should fix my fender. so i go on that internet thing and check my gmail account along with bikeforums. then i knew i had to reference pies and my fenders before i could say i have a ton of gmail invites if anyone still wants an account. i'm not going to use all of them and i am happy to share the love. likewise, once i have net at my new place i'll upload some bike porn.

What's the attachment limit on Gmail?

Hotmail is 10 MB per email.

10 mb limit i think on attachment. i figured working in pies and fenders would keep it slightly on topic. i didn't want the other rabid forum users to snatch them up. but if you want one, just pm me or email address or the such for the invite.

faq on attachments:
With Gmail, you can send and receive messages up to 10 megabytes (MB) in size. However, the precise amount allowable will depend on the attachment.

When you add an attachment, the size of a file may increase because transport encodings are automatically added. (Transport encodings are the information that allows your message to be safely sent and read.)

This means that in some cases, attachments that are 6 to 10MB in size may push the total message size above 10MB. When this happens, Gmail displays a warning that your message exceeds the 10MB limit.

Gmail thought my girlfriend was pregnant.

It gave me a bunch of those sidebar adverts for maternity clothing and planned parenthood and whatnot.

Thankfully she wasn't.

Maybe I'll get a new email server...

i'm really happy with gmail, i think the ui is awesome, and i don't have a problem ignoring the ads. once or twice i even clicked on some that looked interesting.

their spam filtering rocks, and free forwarding and pop3 access are hard to beat too.

Not sure which of you two (i.e. Matt or dolface) hooked me up with the gmail account but thanks a bunch. In times past, I have requested a gmail account from users who allegedly have some to hand out but the only thing that I have gotten is junkmail.

Thanks again.

I also have a few Gmail invites up for grabs - PM me if you want one.

I love my Gmail. The web interface is just as quick as a desktop email client, and the search feature is great. And it's not bogged down with eye candy or ridiculous amounts of advertisements. It's pretty easy to use with the Thunderbird email client, too. Google strikes again.

Yeah, I got 5 invites too. PM me with name and email address if you want them.

Although it seems that pretty much everyone that wants gmail has it already, as the other times I've typed this I haven't gotten much response...

Gmail just upped the number of invites available.

I have 3 accounts, each of which now has 50 invites, so I now have 150. So far as I know, everyone now has 50 invites to share.
