I liked Natassa Kinski in Cat People.

I like cats, but the fur gets caught in my teeth.

The other great primates (chimpanzees, gorillas, etc) attack and kill members of their own familial structure. While murder seems like a human-oriented word, it probably applies to other intelligent animals, too. Is that evil? I don't know. Evil seems to imply a known morality, and given that humans constructed the idea of morality it seems that it applies to them rather than the other animals.

Outdoor cats are the leading cause of death among both birds and mammals in the United States, according to a new study, killing 1.4 billion to 3.7 billion birds each year.
    http://articles.washingtonpost.com/2...orge-h-fenwick

And it's not just for food. Many of these cats have owers and are likely fed.

Researchers estimate that one pet cat kills one to 34 birds a year, while a feral cat kills 23 to 46 birds annually.
i know the cat we had growing up was well fed but regularly brought home small animals to "play" with. She would eventually kill it, leave it on the doorstep, and then get another. She sure looked to be enjoying it.

Edit: that's not a nock on cats either. The only reason I would own one is if I had rodent problem. They are killing machines.

Yep, this thread can get out of hand real fast.

One of my troops introduced me to his parents with "Sergeant P____l is the most prejudiced man I've ever seen. He hates everybody." Which is exactly what I wanted him to think. I was at his wedding 25 years later, and his mom told me "he hates everybody, but for some reason, he's always trusted you."
