Okay, Mr. Bueller, you have swayed me to your way of thinking. That is indeed Mr. MacDonald. Perhaps Mr. Laurier is using his image as an homage to Mr. MacDonald and the conservative party.

Darned, and the one day I skipped high school in America was the one day they taught Canadian history. Missed it all.

Not such a beautiful car. But the first one with fuel injection. Ford pressurized the gas tank.

Ford 999.

You might have even mistaken him for my great-great-great grandfather.

After having just looked it up after this post. i second this. Oh God I feel sick on so many levels!

EDIT:

Got this from this link.

http://www.forbes.com/sites/matthewd...eep-to-change/

How much technology does the new Cherokee share with other vehicles within the Fiat Group?

It’s on the Compact U.S. Wide platform. That’s a group platform, which is great because it allows commonality where appropriate. And I think that word “appropriate” is very important, because this vehicle is styled by Jeep and engineered by Jeep and is a true Jeep, regardless of whether the technology is shared or not.

Confirmed piss poor damage control. This thing is some Fiat car they are trying to pass off as the latest and greatest thing. I grew up with a Jeep Cherokee and have always been fond of them. I know more people than I can count who either have owned Jeeps or do own them and love them. None of them would ever buy this thing and I agree. It is going to be a cold day in hell before this thing become popular. It makes the Pontiac Aztek look like a rolling work of art.

this sounds more like xenophobia than true critisism of the design

kind of funny really considering that chrysler has tried time and time again to remake their fortunes
by building a multiplicity of cars based on a lmiited number of platforms
but they are always hampered by piss poor quality control
and terrible marketing decisions

and now a company that actually knows how to build and sell cars for a profit
has reached in to help
and you dont like it

well how do you like insolvency and a defunct manufacturer
because that is the alternative
