Foo Energy Needed

Many of you have heard of, remember Scott Morrison and his wife Michelle. Found out via FB that their house burned to the ground early this morning. Start praying or sending out the Foo energy to Scott and Michelle and their family. So far all I know is that EVERYONE, including the dogs, got out okay, but I think the house is a total loss.

Not sure, maybe we can get Scott to chime in once they get settled. You can find him on FB pretty easy.

Message from Scott via FB:

Jeff: Hey Scott, I know life is turmoil right now, but Foo wants to know if ya'll need anything.
Scott: Right now I could use a delicious bass.
Scott: My son Loren was awake and got us out. By the time the fire alarms went off it was burning through the wall from the garage. I witnessed the flashover from the side garage door. Thank God we all got out alive.
Jeff: I have been thanking Him all day. If Foo can do anything let me know. Clothes, $, bikes, whatever

Thank you Cbad. Hopefully Scott or Michelle will let us know what, if anything they need. Still waiting to hear what made it out of the fire, but Scott my be bikeless. Would love for Foo to help fix that if indeed that is the case.

I've got a fair bit in the parts pile and a work stand. I'll be happy to put together a bike out of what we can gather up if the need is there.

We all got out ok. I've never been so scared as when the garage flashed over and forced me away from my children and MIL. I yelled at them to go out back and then ran and punched the fence down to get them out. Seeing my home burn down on the news hurt. Bad.

Yes, same Scott.

By the way, Scott, here's hoping for a major upturn in fortunes. You're about due, ehg?

Thank you all for the Foo Love. Our house burned down Tuesday morning. Tuesday night looters stole whatever didn't burn. Our family 2 and 4 legged only got out because of our son, Loren.he woke everyone up. I walked through a wall of smoke that ignited as I stepped onto the porch to check how bad the fire was in the garage. That's gotta be what Hell looks like. Michele and our eldest daughter were across the street by then. Loren moved our younger daughter and Mother in Law and 2 dogs away from the flames as I screamed through the fireball for them to go out the back door. I thought they were going to die. Loren heard me and got everyone out back as heat started blowing windows. I punched down the fence from the neighbors side to get them out and led them across the street. I was allowed inside to get a few things, jewelry and firearms and handed my bikes off to a friend that runs a bike shop. The bikes were totaled by the heat. Our van was damaged but should be repairable. Looters didnt get our rings or firearms, but did get an antique pearl necklace promised to our eldest and Loren's Tool set. I don't know what else they got, I couldn't bear to look. You may have seen the fire on tv, i know it showed in South Carolina and Georgia. If it had a 65 Mustang burned and pulled out into the driveway, that was us. Everything material is gone. I wanna cry with joy everytime I hold my family. If Loren hadnt grabbed an extinquisher and sprayed it on the fire, that fireball would have killed Michele Kacy, and I. He was having insomnia and playing Xbox. When I can, I'm buying him a new xbox. He saved our lives. The first police officer on the scene beat the fire trucks and was there as we came out of the neighbors yard, maybe 30 seconds after I came out the front door . He said if we had been in the house when he rolled up, no one would have survived.

Update: All of our immediate needs have been met. Thank you everyone. You have all helped us bear the unbearable.

We got our van back! Now we can take the dogs to the dog park and let them run and play. Going from free run of the house, a big backyard and a big park around the corner to hotel rooms and taking care of business on the grass strip behind the Hotel's parking lot has been hard on them. Plus, the hotel's location isn't really close enough to town for long walks. One day closer to going home. Just keep swimming, just keep swimming.
