13 foot 1000 pound Great White caught off Lauderdale

A mile and a half offshore! Make ya want to go to Fort Lauderdale?

FWIW, they're out there all the time, chasing Bluefish when they come south. It's not that unusual, just later in the year than usual..

And that's one of the reasons they're protected here in the waters of California and why harvesting most shark species here in Ca is frowned upon by responsible anglers (even the ones without protection of the law).
