Subway commercial: reckless driving is okay as long as you're headed to Subway?

You decide.

I hate Subway. It is disgusting. I prefer Quiznos if I'm in the mood to blow $8+ on a crappy sandwich...

Why was this moved from A&S?

This ad is relevant to A&S because it deals with car crash culture as comedy, which can potentially influence people in thinking driving recklessly is funny or safe to do

Lighten up Francis. It's just a commercial.

Commercials get people to buy products, influence body perception, and more. Certainly commercials have an impact on driving behavior.

There are a thousand local sandwich shops that can make you something a lot better than anything from Subway or Quiznos.

I did not see anything wrong with this commercial, though. If they said "Rush over to Subway", etc., you might have a case. It was just weak, but not unethical.

Is this the crap that goes on in A&S these days? I am glad I don't visit the rest of the forums anymore.

I'm broke because I can't resist buying and doing everything I see on TV commercials. I have no free will... but I have voluminous hair, pearly white teeth, reliable erections, and every gadget ever produced by RonCo.

None of the people in the ad were on their way to Subway, they were just passers-by.

But yes, Subway is telling people it's ok to drive recklessly, and destroy public and private property.
They're also telling us that falling down doesn't hurt, and talking to sandwiches is normal.
Get over it.

This has to be the dumbest commercial I've seen in a while - dumber than the OP's Subway commercial.

Yeah, me too and I think everyone should pay more taxes to provide welfare for me so I can continue to buy all the crepe that is advertised.

I found both commercials comical.
What I don't find funny are all the slobs driving while eating subway and slurping dr. prune juice.
