Nice. Not sure I have ever been on a covered bridge. That makes me sad.

I find it disconcerting that someone would search out a poster here in order to ride around in their back yard. Just sayin'.

Too bad I was out of state, I would have joined you. Where abouts were you? There are quite a few covered bridges near me.

If you are going to 'ride in her backyard', you need to ask permission first. It's just good manners.

Although as we say in the nautical-themed MillCreek household: request permission to come aboard.

The ahsposo household is more piratical: Surrender the Booty!

I believe the Amish translation is "May I plow your back 40." I could be wrong on that though - wouldn't be the first time.

I thought it was 'May I hitch my cart to your ass?'

As long as you keep your bridge covered, should be no problem.

Do as the Amish do and hang a large reflective triangle. It will prevent unwanted rear end collisions.

One by one, those covered bridges are disappearing. Lancaster lost one in the last flood (Sept 2011). The one closest to my house washed away in 1974.

I just realized there is a covered bridge on a bike path in my neighborhood. I need to go ride across it.
