My response would have been something along the lines of: "Does your bike have computer controlled suspension? Then shut your piehole, this baby is from the future!"

I used to have a few of this type clock, if I remember correctly they were made in China, not a bad thing though, although I gave them all away I know they for a fact they are (all 4) still ticking! I had two wind ups and two battery operated. I found one battery operated and one wind up in the trash. I bought the other two at different flea markets, paid $5.00 for one and $8.00 for the other.

You see, their morals, their code...it's a bad joke, dropped at the first sign of trouble. They're only as good as the world allows them to be. I'll show you. When the chips are down, these...These "civilized" people...they'll eat each other. See, I'm not a monster. I'm just ahead of the curve

They're worth exactly what the next buyer is willing to pay for them. That's a job for marketing and sales.

Sure, there's an intrinsic utility value as well, but that's typically a small portion of the "worth" of an object.

Kinda nostalgic for me. As a kid, I used to have to pull the weights on my grandfather's clock to keep it going.
