I've never had any wild-caught catfish, just farmed breaded-and-fried fillets. Am I missing something great? And what's the best way to fix it?

meh....more fun to catch and release. Cleaning catfish is a royal PITA. Fun fish to catch though.

Ugh, my grandpa loved catfish and always made us kids skin and clean them. I can't stand them now.

I usually only clean a mess or 2 of fish a year For catfish channel, flathead or blue 14-18" are eating fish once they get this big the only time I clean one is if it won't survive. I have went to circle hooks because they don't gut hook often . Wild trout or bluegills are my prefered fish to eat. Wild caught Tilapia (used to live in Fl.) Farm raised tilapia suck
