retrieving images

is the only way to copy back a picture to create a post, post the picture from your library, then save as while viewing?

I'm not sure what you are asking.

OK let me try again. I have some picture in my bike forums library that I have archived at home and don't have access to at home. so if I want to use one of my bikeforum pictures on say, facebook, how can I acquire it back from bikeforums? what I've been doing is stating a post, adding a picture, then while viewing my own post, and the attached picture, right click to save-as to my computer. now I have possession of my picture again for use elsewhere.

seems cumbersome though.

Try right clicking on the image and you should get an option to "Save Image As" - whether the image will be what you need, I don't know. The file size may have been reduced.

In Settings, left hand bottom panel (My Settings)-
Under Miscellaneous
click Attachments, and it lists all the attachments you have uploaded through Bike Forums.

Is this what you meant?

I just tried this and instead of a 'gallery of thumbnails', I got a list of posts that I had attached a picture to. Example:

Seems to be one of my more popular pics...
