Johnny Depp can, without a doubt, make the worst movies in all of cinematic history. God he's awful. And the same awful over and over and over again.

I understand he's going to be Tonto in the new Lone Ranger movie. Evidently they are going to try and make the slaughter of entire villages of American Indians funny. Hopefully that movie will finally end Depp's career.

I believe everyone is entitled to their own opinion, no matter how wrong they are. ;)

Check out Glover in IMDB... he's been around... always as some real odd duck, but he has done a lot more than Back to the Future.

As far as Depp, he too does odd movies... and frankly I think he did a great job as the pirate in all the Caribbean movies... he portrayed that slimy can't trust him character to a T.

Stalone... pretty much a one role kinda guy... He did Rocky well, but has been playing the pouting tough guy all his movies... the guy has no depth... Arnold has only a touch more depth, and is largely held back by his awful accent... he has a good sense of humor though and it shows in movies like Last Action Hero and Twins.

Cruise... eh, pretty face... but more for the ladies. Just saw him in Oblivion and he carried that off fairly, but the role could have been done well by any of several actors. He keeps coming off as pretty boy innocent... kind of a newer Richard Gere.

Yeah, he makes Cheech and Chong look like Larry Olivier and Mike Redgrave.

Patrick Wayne, best known as John Wayne's son.

Most of you are naming people you don't like, who at least have the star power to have a leading role. Look at Patrick's filmography. With chiseled good looks and a famous name, he could never even convince the Hollywood moguls to let him star in something. Now that's bad!

I remember one scene where he is along with John Wayne and they are doing a serious search through the wilderness and he is grinning ear to ear like he can't believe his luck to be acting in front of a camera.

I'd have to say Keanu Reeves ... by far!!!

I can't stand most of Johnny Depp's movies, but I do recognize he's a decent actor.

Good or at least fun movies: Edward Scissorhands, Ed Wood, the first Pirate movie.
Bad to god awful: all the rest.

Johnny was good in What's Eating Gilbert Grape.

Worst actors = O.J. Simpson and Keanu Reeves.

No doubt Leonardo Dicaprio's best work IMO. Thought of another for consideration... Mr. T. But I still think Crispin Glover is the worst ever. Just watch River's Edge, he makes Keanu Reeves look like he should have had an Oscar.

Dannihilator 07-03-13 10:21 PM

Vin Diesel.

Wulf 07-03-13 10:22 PM

Leonardo di Caprio
David Spade
Nicolas Cage

You are right, most times Vin is a real dud, but he was good in Find Me Guilty.

He was convincing as a mean S.O.B. in Rocky 3 as Clubber Lang. I saw it in a Philadelphia theater when it came out with an almost all black audience and they were all cheering for Rocky to beat that (you can fill in that bad N word.)

skijor 07-03-13 11:17 PM

Hayden Christensen
He packed 30 years worth of crap acting into two movies. Calling that acting is an insult to the word 'acting'. Episodes 1-3 should simply be deleted from history. Initially, I didn't know if he was that bad or if George Lucas directed him to act like that. He ought to apply at Lowes and hope nobody recognizes him. He'd probably end up with a pallet of plywood "accidentally" dropped on his head.

FatherAlabaster 07-04-13 12:34 AM

I can't believe nobody has nominated William Shatner.

(Yes, I like Star Trek.)

Too many bad actors to give the award to just one.
Here are some of my nominations
David Schwimmer (Friends)
Russel Crowe
Jean Claude Van-Damme
Val Kilmer
Those are the ones right on the top of my mind.

Russel Crowe? Seriously? The dude is a genius. Should have at least two Oscars. He got totally ripped off for A Beautiful Mind. Master and Commander was worthy as well. He's one of the best out there. He might be a d1ck in person, which is his reputation, but his movies are fantastic.

Good list right there, even though Nick Cage was great in Raising Arizona.

I'll add Patrick Swayze to the list.

Bingo! Absolutely horrendous in Star Wars. I mean I was amazed at how bad he was.

Shatner is to acting as Chuck Norris is to fighting. Don't temp fate.

Bikedued 07-04-13 12:52 AM

Worst actor.. Steven Seagal, by far! Will Smith. Make some veiled sex jokes, throw in some stupid facial expressions, and you got a Summer blockbuster on your hands. Vin Diesel, a definite notorious bad actor. The Rock! OMG! Ben Stiller!!!! He plays the same character in every movie.

Johnny Depp, love or hate him, he is a good actor. I happen to like him, and more for his obscure roles. If you want to see him in a really weird place, check out Secret Window. He portrays crazy quite well in that one.,,,,BD

FatherAlabaster 07-04-13 01:01 AM

Or Dead Man. That was an odd movie.

I honestly have no idea what you mean by this.

Yeah I can't stand him, I think he is way overrated like Gwyeth Paltrow, and Leonardo DiCraprio and Julia Roberts, that said both Leo and Julia have done at least a couple of movies each that I thought were good, I haven't seen anything with Russel that was worth the time to watch.

I guess you haven't see Kindergarten Cop and Twins. He's a pretty funny guy and a decent enough actor.

20grit 07-04-13 06:56 AM

I changed my mind.... George Lazenby.

Wordbiker 07-04-13 07:02 AM

It took three pages to mention Kevin Costner? Kevin Costner presents a Kevin Costner production of Kevin Costner's, "Kevin Costner", starring Kevin Costner as Kevin Costner. He can't even do an English accent when playing Robin Hood? Seriously?
