If you aren't going to second the vote for Kevin Costner, I will. Kevin Costner.

I thought there was a tacit understanding that the quickest way to eradicate Kevin Costner from the popular consciousness was to never mention his name again. Now you've gone and done it.

    You win.

I'll give him another vote as well... I enjoyed alot of his movies and I really wanted to like him but frankly he really sucks. And someone mentioned Hayden Christensen... in my mind he is so bad I wouldn't even consider him to be a bad actor... he destroyed the Star Wars movies for me.

And Nicholas Cage is not that bad he just does bad movies - he was decent in Valley Girl and Moonstruck...

I can't go there. Yes he has some bad ones but his good ones far outweigh them IMO - Bull Durham alone would do it but there's also Field of Dreams, JFK, No Way Out, Silverado...

Agreed. Raising Arizona, hell I even like the first National Treasure. Low water mark might be Con Air or Faceoff (one of the dumber premises for a movie ever)

I was just checking through the whole thread since I didn't see anyone mention him and was rather shocked, thank goodness you said it! And Shatner's a triple threat his acting/directing/and singing are all a giant pile of Shatner.

I never cared much for Shatner until "Boston Legal".
He was absolutely hilarious in that, and the script-writing was first-rate!

He'd probably end up with a pallet of plywood "accidentally" dropped on his head.

She was really good in The Talented Mr. Ripley (one of my favorite movies). I'm not that attracted to her, so I feel I can be fairly objective about it.

I think I watched about 30 minutes of L.A. and that was all I could handle. He is just one of the actors that I think is way over-rated.

Johnny Depp can, without a doubt, make the worst movies in all of cinematic history. God he's awful. And the same awful over and over and over again.

I understand he's going to be Tonto in the new Lone Ranger movie. Evidently they are going to try and make the slaughter of entire villages of American Indians funny. Hopefully that movie will finally end Depp's career.

There is only one thing you can do now: Watch "House of Dark Shadows", which you can get via digital download from ITMS, or Amazon. This is a feature film, based on the TV show. It was released when the show was at the height of its popularity, and is now regarded as one of the best Vampire movies ever made. This is the Barnabus that Dan Curtis originally intended, a dark, malevolent creature that will stop at nothing to get what he wants.

Now, like many members of my generation, I was a fan of the series when it was on. Had to get home, or to friend's house, to watch DS every afternoon. It was also mega popular on college campuses. My question: Both Depp, and director Tim Burton claim to be big fans of the original series. So, how could they have made a movie that was so awful? We may never know.

As for Depp being the worst actor, I must respectfully disagree. I think the prize should go to Jim Carrey. Talk about a one trick pony...
Depp is actually pretty good as Ed Wood, a good movie about the man many consider to be the worst movie maker in history.
I thought I was suffering from depression once. Turned out, I was simply surrounded by idiots.

he did very well in eternal sunshine of the spotless mind
although i dont know if the melancholy guy character
    was much of a stretch

    i mean
the movie works ok as a whole
but he just sort of had to pretend he was riding the bus
    and staring emotionlessly

    ...

    ok
    i agree
jim carey is the worst actor of all time

    or at least
the worst actor to get multiple leading roles in hollywood films

there are plenty of actors who nobody ever thought they were good
and so you wouldnt have heard of them
unless you watch a lot of b movies or pornos

not that theres anything wrong with that
