Did anyone mention the Shat as T.J. Hooker? That was a truly bad show.

c0urt 07-06-13 10:28 PM

hood rides, WOOOOOO!

ILUVUK 07-06-13 11:16 PM

no brad pitt or kevin costner movie has ever been good because of them. amazingly several of them have been good in spite of them.

John Wayne was an arrogant windbag and he walked like a drunken sissy-boy.

FatherAlabaster 07-07-13 11:48 AM

Man, I wish you guys hadn't brought TekWar back up. I had forgotten it. I even read one or two of the books. <Shudder>

And you are a wonderful specimen, so what?
Wife and I watched the the 2 DVD set of The High And Mighty last night. Great film and good commentary too. It even discussed the origins of the unique John Wayne Walk used for effect in many movies. The Shootist is my favorite JW movie.

Rodman, like Favre and other athletes are just that. Athletes, not actors. I don't expect them to be even decent at acting. So I wouldn't consider them here beside [supposedly bonafide] actors like Stallone and Vin Diesel.

c0urt 07-07-13 04:47 PM

dwanye johnson and a few others are/were athletes, people tend to ignore that fact.
granted his acting can be questionable to, my gf thinks that him in a tu-tu is hot

Yeah, reasonable expectations would be in order. The Rock, as an "athlete", is another good example. Even if his "athletic" traits have been acquired via pharma means.

c0urt 07-07-13 05:00 PM

roid rage looks good on screen, it helps with his "acting"

See you and raise you gymnast Kurt Thomas, of Gymkata "fame": http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0089243/
Just seeing the preview left me breathless... as in trying not to inhale my own puke.

I fold

loky1179 07-07-13 08:52 PM

How appropriate. I'm watching Expendables 2 on netflix right now. Stallone, Schwazzeneger, Van Damm, Willis, Chuck Norris, and I believe Dolph Lundgren thrown in for good measure.

This is movie magic!!

I can only hope Shatner makes an appearance before the ending.

And the folks here who DID forgot to nominate Greg Evigan for worst -- he starred in the pilot, after "My Two Dads" and "BJ and the Bear".... Yuck.

Ok, I'd successfully blocked this guy out until today, and then it hit me.

Kurt Russell.
