Changing from I-Phone to Android (The Details)

Hello guys & gals!

The latest Rube-Proyect(tm) is about a convert that is being rescued from the evil I-Crap world, back into the light (apple fanbois gonna hate). I am researching what's the easiest way to transfer the gazillion contacts from an I-Phone 3, into a Kyocera Rise. Any recommendations?

No can't do. In order to get a special web-only discount, new phone was purchased on the net and is gonna arrive here next week. I have to do the techie part, no way around it.

I would imagine after you get it you could take it into a (insert cell company here,) store and they could do it... If you can't figure out the i-cloud and gmail stuff.

Just don't say anything you wouldn't want Big Brother to know and you'll be OK.

If you have a Google G-mail account, maybe just sync the contacts ?. Or get a new G-Mail account and make it your primary e-mail in the iPhone, then sync it to Google.

They sync to the new phone ?.

Be prepared to have to do a major edit of the contacts so that all the last names, first names, business names, etc.. all read the way you want in Google. I found that easier to do while on-line instead of attempting it on the phone.

I was very thankful for Gmail when I changed phones recently... I was changing over from US cell to Verizon since the former is shutting down.. I didn't even know I had my contacts synced with Gmail... I turn on my new phone, it asks me to sign into my google account, and voila, everything is there.

On the other hand it makes me wonder what other information they're collecting without my knowledge...

Just request a copy of your phone records from the NSA.
